Important steps in Noriko Imae‘s young and already tremendously successful career:


In 2003, Noriko Imae was the prizewinner at 8th KOBE International Music Competition.


In 2004, she got the highest award at the Osaka College of Music.

Noriko Imae studied and graduated at Osaka College of Music and got the Master’s degree (Dissertation about Oliver Messiaen) there in 2006.


In 2005, Noriko Imae got a Grand Prix at ABC fresh musician audition and played with Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, which was broadcast on TV and radio all over Japan.


In 2006, she got the 3rd prize at Fupfer Piano Competition in Japan.


In 2008, she got the prize diploma at “Ricceto in Musica”, an international music competition in Italy.


In December 2008, she played the memorial recital of Olivier Messiaen in Osaka Ishihara Hall. This recital was reported in newspapers and the principal music magazines and received great public attention.


In 2009, Noriko Imae received the Special Prize at the 17th PERRENOUD FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION in Vienna.


She is constantly getting a great applause and the highest recognition from many contemporary composers and is giving many premier performances of their new works.


She was taking lessons at Prof. Pascal Devoyon, Prof.Boris Petrushansky, Prof. Piotr Palecziny, Prof. Eugen Indjic, Prof. Kevin Kenner, Prof. George Nador and taking the famous master courses in Japan and abroad (Munich, Paris).


From 2007-2009 she was studying with Prof.Klaus Schilde (in Munich) with the scholarship of ROHM Music Foundation which has the highest reputation in Japan.


Noriko Imae had already many performances in Japan and Europe. Her main performances are piano solos, chamber music and concerts for contemporary music.

Noriko Imae performed on September 9th, 2010, at Prague Castle and shortly after recorded her first CD with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. As a special her sister Keiko joined part of the concert on her violin.
